At John Hampden School, we are committed to working in close partnership with parents and carers to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). As part of this, we offer parent workshops designed to share information, build understanding and provide practical strategies that can be used at home and in school.
The slides from our recent parent workshops, available below, cover a range of topics linked to SEND and inclusion. They are intended to help explain how we support children in school, outline key approaches we use, and offer guidance to support your child’s learning, wellbeing and development. Whether you were able to attend or not, we hope these resources are helpful and reassuring.
We also have a programme of upcoming parent workshops, listed below. These sessions provide an opportunity to:
- Learn more about SEND and specific areas of need
- Understand how support is planned and delivered in school
- Share ideas and ask questions in a supportive environment
- Strengthen communication between home and school
