The Hampden Herald – Our School Newspaper Team

The Newspaper Team is made up of enthusiastic pupils from Years 5 and 6 who work together to produce termly editions of The Hampden Herald. Our journalists, editors and illustrators plan, write and design a newspaper packed full of exciting content for our whole school community to enjoy.

Each edition features a wide range of articles, including current affairs from in and out of school, sports reports, competitions, comic strips, jokes, and pupil advice, as well as our Makaton Sign of the Month and much more.

Being part of the Newspaper Team helps pupils develop their writing, teamwork, creativity and confidence, while giving them a real voice in school life. Keep an eye out for the latest edition of The Hampden Herald – there’s always something for everyone!
