Librarians
At our school, we believe that leadership shines in many forms — including a passion for books and learning. Our Pupil Librarians play an important role in championing reading across the school. These enthusiastic and responsible pupils help to organise and care for our library, support younger children in choosing books, and inspire a love of stories, curiosity, and imagination.
As part of their role, our Pupil Librarians undertake key jobs such as:
- Helping maintain a calm, inviting atmosphere
- Tidying and shelving books correctly
- Recommending books to pupils and teachers
- Supporting younger children in finding age‑appropriate reads
- Monitoring the borrowing system and keeping track of overdue books
Through these responsibilities, they develop valuable skills in communication, teamwork, organisation, and problem‑solving, while making a meaningful and positive contribution to our school community.
