At John Hampden Primary School we strive to nurture a lifelong love of learning in our children. Our curriculum is ever evolving and we actively seek input from the children in determining our shared learning journeys and experiences.
We believe that placing PSHE and Values education at the heart of our children’s learning experience helps pupils make sense of the increasingly complex and rapidly changing world in which they live. Our curriculum enables pupils to think critically about personal, social, emotional and global issues and to develop an awareness of the impact our own actions can have on others.
The six themes children are exposed to across all year groups are:
- Being Me In My World
- Celebrating Difference
- Dreams and Goals
- Healthy Me
- Changing Me
Learning experiences and journeys will be linked to these six themes and explored through the following curriculum drivers:
- STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths)
- Digital Literacy and Communication
- Physical Education and Wellbeing
